Bone Grafting:Tricks, Tips and Science
The lecture describes situations where bone grafting is necessary for the successful treatment following tooth extraction, regardless of the following treatment chosen. New insights of new materials available on the market as well materials that have been used in the past will be presented and suggestions on clinical indications will be explained and justified. Technical tips and tricks will be presented to simply execute clinical situations, from post extraction to augment deficient ridges. Development of new skills and change in the habits of current technique will be suggested. Long term results and clinical evidence shown with published literature and personal clinical experience
Learning Objectives:
At the completion of the program, participants should be able to:
- Perform bone grafting following tooth extraction
- Choose different materials depending on different clinical situations
- Able to handle complex bone loss cases and graft
- Able to use surgical instrumentation more appropriately
- Use different techniques for grafting including extraction tools and retentive devices as tacks and screws
Intended Audience
The presentation is intended for dentists, dental assistants and office managers. General practitioners, periodontists, endodontists and oral surgeons will benefit from attending the presentation.

Transforming Periodontal and Dental Care
Powered by Artificial Intelligence
This course provides up-to-date periodontal technologies that can be incorporated into patient care. Artificial intelligence (AI) in increasingly being integrated into various healthcare fields. Our lecture focuses on exploring the synergy between digital techn0logies and AI to achieve higher success, predictability and precision for periodontal surgeries (crown lengthening, bone graft, implant placement.) It also introduces AI-based software that can assist dentists in a more standardized and efficient interpretation of radiographic images.
Learning Objectives:
At the completion of the program, participants will gain:
- An understanding of the principles of surgical digital planning and 3D guide design using AI-based software
- An introduction to digital planning of crown lengthening, sinus lift and implant surgeries
- Familiarization with possible applications of artificial intelligence in periodontics
