Center (NHC) is the oldest and largest Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC)
in Erie County providing over 74,000 visits this year to more than 20,000
patients. NHC has an extensive history of providing high quality primary care
to the underserved and uninsured populations including focusing on those
experiencing homelessness. NHC offers an income-based sliding fee scale,
allowing low income, uninsured and underinsured patients to access high quality
integrated primary medical, behavioral health, oral health, nutrition services
and prescriptive drugs at reasonable co-pay. We offer adult and pediatric
primary care, womenís health with OB services, oral health, behavioral health
care, prescription drugs, nutrition, podiatry, outreach and care management,
facilitated enrollment, referrals and other support services.
NHC is a Level III PCMH
certified facility that specializes in whole-person health. NHC believes in

a Dentist provides direct patient care to a diverse patient population, provides
supervision of the Dental Hygienists and performs a wide range of dental
services as permitted by state law and within range of the dentistís

Skills & Experience of a Dentist:
be a graduate of an accredited dental school.
possess a current NYS Professional Dentist license with a minimal of one year
experience in a general dental setting.
This experience requirement may also be met by completion of an approved
one year general practice residency.
Experience working with an Electronic Dental Record
system a plus
Must be able to work as part of a multidisciplinary
team and manage deadlines well
to establish and maintain positive and effective work relationships
in clinical and quality improvement projects
and experience working with underserved and diverse populations
interest in public health
Experience in community
center or urban sites preferred
