LASERS: SEPARATING THE FACTS FROM THE FICTION

CONSIDERATIONS WHEN INCORPORATING LASERS INTO EVERYDAY AND ENHANCED DENTISTRY & HYGIENE

Alumni Speaker Series

Thursday, October 15, 2015

8:45 am - 11:45 am (3 CE hrs)

Room 106-B

The increasing number of dental lasers and applications for soft tissue procedures is leading too much confusion of the various roles that lasers may or may not play in the dental practice. This program will enhance the clinician’s knowledge of the science, functionality, and importance that the laser brings to everyday patient care and especially to dental hygiene and CEREC dentistry.  The program is specifically intended to assist dentists and hygienists in understanding the benefits that laser technology provides for enhancing the quality of care for all of their patients and the potential benefits the appropriate laser can provide in efficiency and improved treatment outcomes. This course is designed to give the attendees the knowledge and confidence to evaluate and select the proper laser that will be the most beneficial to their practice.

Course Objectives:

·       Better understanding of the patient benefits of dental lasers.

·       An introductory knowledge of laser physics as it relates to the proper selection of a laser.
